Internet addiction?…

This is saddening…

Link

In February, a 22-year-old bludgeoned his mother to death for “nagging” him about playing Internet games, police said. He then played games online for hours, paying with his mother’s credit card, a police statement said.

I mean, it is bad enough that people spend so much time online, but even more sad is that the mother apparently is not able to control her own son… it is strange that you would let it come to that… :-(

You can’t have your own facts…

You are entitled to your own opinion,
You are entitled to your own believes,

But you are not entitled to your own facts – sorry, you are not!

Dawkins going after the pope!

Richard Dawkins: Arrest The Pope During UK Visit

Link

Wow. Just WOW. This will give (hopefully) produce a shitstorm. I must say: I hope he will succeed. I’m very curious to see how this works out… The crimes committed by the Catholic Church are numerous. It would be good to at least try to see where the normal justice system can go… Richard said himself:

Even if the Pope doesn’t end up in the dock, and even if the Vatican doesn’t cancel the visit, I am optimistic that we shall raise public consciousness to the point where the British government will find it very awkward indeed to go ahead with the Pope’s visit, let alone pay for it.

I think it is time the church would be held accountable to all the dumb and discriminatory things it’s members (pun intended :-) ) keep saying:

Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican’s Number 2: Priest Pedophilia Linked To Homosexuality

It is really strange and disturbing people can just keep on saying things like this, without any (high profile) replies…
