iPhone traffic surpassed by Android?

It would seem that Android is going very strong – at the moment, anyway…

Facebook traffic tops Google for the week – so what?

Apparently, Facebook got more traffic than Google this week.

Link

Not more hits, more traffic. Facebook’s pages of course are a lot ‘richer’ in data than Google’s, so this is defiantly not about hits. Still, a lot of noise was made about this. I don’t think it is as significant as some people seem to. The two sites have very different purposes. Facebook tries to keep users as long as possible on the site, using games, photos etc. Google, in contrast, tries to get users as quickly as possible from its site to the destination of its customers. I would tie a bit more significance to the number of hits, or the number of users – but mostly I would simply look at the profitability of both companies. That is far more important than the amount of traffic. I think that if youtube was counted in this measure, it would surely top Facebook easily…!

Time spend on DVD

Man – do I hate this. I feel that the compulsory viewing of ads, intros and stuff like that is a very good reason to copy the DVD before viewing it. My time is precious enough as it is, to spend it on stupid 3D animations that look as if they are made in the 80ties by a student of graphical arts. I don’t care who distributes this film – I want to bloody watch it!

Bill Maher: The Environment Is The Ultimate Health Care Issue

Link

Maher was blown away by Holmes’ skepticism and shot down Johnson for opposing cap and trade legislation. Maher pointed out that Republicans weren’t so disgusted by cap and trade when George H.W. Bush used it to stop acid rain.

It’s amazing how hard it is to get through to these people… :-(

Living dolls

These people are painted and then photographed… that does not seem like a lot of fun to me… I think you would become very hot underneath the paint….!

M$ just killed a large percentage of Windows Mobile buyers’s interest

Confirmed: Marketplace will be the only way to get apps on Windows Phone 7 Series

Link

This is really amazingly stupid… it will scale the potential large adoption of developers/high end users right down…. strange…. and a bit of a shame, while I would not have bought a Windows Mobile Phone when it would have been the last mobile in the world, I would have liked better competition for iPhone and Android….
