Trash…!

Afbeelding 1.pngThere are, by now, multiple drawing-programs for the iPhone. And again, it shows that the program you draw with does nothing to enhance your abilities. A good program will enable you to draw as good as you can – but no better….

Some drawings are worth being looked at:

some are childish:

Some might be considered art:

But most are worthless…

It deals with the question: is all this technology enriching our lives, or is it actually preventing us from fully experiencing it? I guess many people have gone to far in to the direction of recording all the things we are supposed to be ‘experiencing’ – but in fact are not, because we are recording them. (With photos, movies or whatever.) I think this largely true. We have all seen the fathers endlessly making photos or movies from their kids graduation, or whatever. But in the same time, that must prevent them from fully engaging in it….

Has Darwin failed? No!

This year it is 200 years ago that Darwin was born. The simple and clear explanation he gave for all life on earth is still not as widely accepted as you might expect…

For me, as an atheist, it seems strange that this is the case. But it is… this a nice article about the struggle that is still going on.

Juan Enriquez: Why can’t we grow new energy?

A very interesting talk on ted.com. The man is a bit sure of himself, but I like his ideas.

Drinking water contaminated…

A comprehensive survey of the drinking water for more than 28 million Americans has detected the widespread but low-level presence of pharmaceuticals and hormonally active chemicals.

Link

This is very bad… even trace amounts of those compounds should not be found in every day drinking water…!
