Apparently, YouTube is about to make a profit. This is amazing, especially if you know how much bandwith they are using… It must cost a lot of money, but it seems it is making even more…

I wonder if I created 100.000 accounts they would want to buy them :-)
Without making fun of it, it is just sickening how this is considered normal business… :-(

Apparently, Facebook got more traffic than Google this week.
Not more hits, more traffic. Facebook’s pages of course are a lot ‘richer’ in data than Google’s, so this is defiantly not about hits. Still, a lot of noise was made about this. I don’t think it is as significant as some people seem to. The two sites have very different purposes. Facebook tries to keep users as long as possible on the site, using games, photos etc. Google, in contrast, tries to get users as quickly as possible from its site to the destination of its customers. I would tie a bit more significance to the number of hits, or the number of users – but mostly I would simply look at the profitability of both companies. That is far more important than the amount of traffic. I think that if youtube was counted in this measure, it would surely top Facebook easily…!

This man is very happy about how Google enabled his company to work…
Of course, all the pros and cons have been posted in the comments on this post ad nauseum, but it is still interesting to see at least some people jumping into the cloud. If they continue to float remains to be seen…

As Murdoch continues to shout that Google takes away his $$$ as they ’steal’ his content… Google tells Murdoch: say the word, and your sites are gone from our index:
Let’s see if Murdoch takes the jump, and effectively lets his sites disappear from the net… :-)

This is very exciting. It does not say in the video whether is has G3 onboard. But if it did, it could mean a alternative to all those EEE-XP machines you see around nowadays. It has superlong battery life… so.. well.. this might mean less XP on all those machines!

Now, google wants to index your kids as well….
Well, not quite – yet… but I’m really starting to doubt the amount of info Google is ‘eating’. And it is starting to worry me. I consider moving any new documents to Zoho, for instance… I don’t like all my eggs in one basket…
